Mission Creation Contest

Hey guys! You may have noticed that we recently had a vote about a mission with Klingons ( I assume that you all know since you voted ) and to that end I would like those of you interested to come up with our mission concept!

There is only one requirement: Whatever you come up with must include Klingons in some form! Also don't make it to complex, this intended to be relatively short after all.
Here's the format I'd like you to follow

- A Title make sure it pertains to what happens in the Mission
- A heads up (what is known about the mission before it starts)
- A synopsis (direction should the mission develop)
- Objectives (list of objectives that need to be accomplished during the mission)

You have two weeks to submit an idea, after that I'll make a poll and the crew will vote for their favorite!

Mission Title: Siphoned

A Heads Up: When the Perseus diverts course to investigate a unique stellar phenomena, the crew soon discovers that the gravity of the situation has them and the ship pulled into two separate quadrants. Find out what happens when the crew encounters multiple challenges on all fronts during Mission 1.? entitled Siphoned.

A Synopsis: The Perseus has recently entered the Task Force 58 theater of operations and is en-route to the Task Force Flag Station, Starbase 85 (Trinity Station) when the highly sophisticated sensor suite employed on the Explorer-class starship scans and locates a unique stellar oddity on long range sensors. Diverting course to investigate further, the Perseus drops out of warp within the proper sector when it's immediately intercepted by increasingly stronger shock wave fallout's emanating from within the stellar eddy. Complicating the situation further, the powerful shock waves (which are progressively becoming worse) possess a gravitational wake that pulls the Perseus towards the eddy. As it inches closer and closer, the Perseus is eventually pulled within the actual spacial phenomenon; however, due to the differentiating size between ship and phenom, the Perseus essentially becomes lodged within the event horizon of the stellar oddity. With the structural integrity of the ship already severely compromised, it is of little surprise that the ship must escape the gravitational pull of the eddy or suffer complete structural failure. Furthermore, during efforts to repair continually failing systems throughout the ship, the crew soon discover that the stellar phenomenon is actually a gateway conduit to the Gamma Quadrant and that the portion of the ship currently lodged in the event horizon has been exposed within the other quadrant. The situation is further compounded when Dominion vessels are dispatched to investigate and discover, what they believe to be, a new Federation transportation device. Believing this to be an attempted invasion of their home world, the Dominion take a very aggressive posture.

Objectives

• Reinforce structural integrity,
  
• Repair the Perseus's failing systems and sub-systems,
  
• Defend the Perseus from Dominion attack,
  
• Eradicate Dominion boarding parties,
  
• Escape from the spacial eddy before the ship is destroyed,
  
• Find a way to close the event horizon to the spacial eddy so that Dominion forces may not use it as a conduit to the Alpha Quadrant.

Mission Title: Expedition Resumed

A Heads Up: When Commander Raiya is tasked with the retrieval of a very powerful yet ancient technology left on the backwater planet of Strata Prime by the Andromeda Aliens, the recently appointed, feisty Bajoran Commanding Officer soon discovers that the very essence of the Prime Directive is at stake. Will she violate the founding principle of the United Federation of Planets to ensure the safe, yet hasty return of injured and captured crewmen under her command? Will the moral and ethical implications of her decision be the last she'll ever make as a Starfleet Commander? Find out during Mission 1.? entitled Expedition Resumed.

A Summary: Strata Prime is a remote, backwater planet located within the Beta Quadrant's Odalisque System. An M-class planet, Strata Prime is home to the pre-warp Stratorapremiers. Strata Prime is also the planet where the USS Aurora Borealis discovered a set of ruins where a small metallic cube was uncovered during a scientific expedition more than fifteen years prior. This cube contained the database left behind by an ancient alien race who came in search of life in the Milky Way galaxy more than thirty millennium ago. They came with the hope of discovering organic life to counter their own inorganic existence. Yet our galaxy was still infant by comparison, yet on the cusp of a budding evolution. Unable to find what they sought, the alien race returned to the Andromeda Galaxy. What they left behind was a coded database that provided specific instructions on how to reach their galaxy someday. After seven years of concentrated study, Starfleet managed to decode enough of the database to determine where the race came from and how to reach them.

Fifteen years had passed since the Aurora Borealis' presence on Strata Prime, a presence that went completely unnoticed by the Stratorapremiers. With the founding of the Louis and Clark Expedition, Starfleet Command has requested the USS Perseus to return to the ruins on Strata Prime. There is a strong consensus among the Admiralty of Starfleet Command that there could be additional pieces of highly-advanced technology previously left behind by the ancient alien race, yet left undiscovered by the original expedition team. With more than half of the database still coded, Starfleet has only managed to piece together fragments of what perhaps was initially intended as the overall database of information. Their hope is that the alien race left behind some device that would help to further decode the full contents of the cube.

Over the course of the past fifteen years, the Stratorapremiers have developed significantly and are at the forefront of a technological boom, with warp capability and space travel a mere two years away. Additionally, the Stratorapremiers civilization has grown and expanded substantially. Initial survey reports from Starfleet Cartography confirm that the ancient ruins are somewhere buried beneath the capital city of Lubei.

With this particular aspect compounding the anticipated mission outcome, the Perseus and her crew now need to find a way to continue a fifteen year old expedition without compromising the cultural and technological well being of the Stratorapremiers and Starfleet's Prime Directive. However, to complete their mission, the crew will need to make some very difficult decisions on how and which direction is the best methodology to accomplish their goals while ensuring the Stratorapremiers are none-the-wiser.

Objectives
Primary Mission Objectives:

2 Landing Parties will infiltrate the capital city of Lubei. All Team Members will assume the physical identify of an "outlander" (a term used by the Stratorapremiers to describe visitors to the city). Landing Party Alpha is the science team dedicated to exploring for any pieces of ancient alien technology left behind within the old ruins. Landing Party Beta will assume the responsibility of providing medical and security support should either be necessary.

1. Objective 1: successfully infiltrate the capital city of Lubei,
   
2. Objective 2: find some way to gain access to the old ruins now obstructed by the expansion of the city,
   
3. Objective 3: retrieve whatever, if any, additional technology may have been left behind by the ancient alien race.

Secondary Mission Objectives:

During the expedition, Landing Party Alpha has been compromised by a Stratorapremier Security Force and taken into custody. Their alien identities are discovered and confirmed. Lubei enters a state of heightened security fearing an alien attack and that a "body snatchers" occupation is imminent.

1. Objective 1: rescue all members of Landing Party Alpha,
   
2. Objective 2: retrieve all Starfleet and ancient alien technology,
   
3. Objective 3: create some form of diversion that will provide an acceptable escape and question the validity of an "alien invasion",
   
4. Objective 4: return to the Perseus.

Title: At Eternity's End

Summary: An exploratory assignment to an uncharted system leaves the crew of the Perseus on the edge of certain death, with no hope for rescue and nothing to rely on but their own desperate efforts to save themselves.

Synopsis: After a string of combat missions, the Perseus is given a break and assigned to chart several unexplored systems along the edge of Federation space in the Raeyan sector. It is while exploring one such system that the crew encounters what appears to be a long-abandoned space station with a massive emitter array aiming outward.

Curious, the vessel approaches in order to get a more detailed scan, but a sudden energy build-up occurs within the emitter. Before they can back off, the Perseus is engulfed by an intensely bright beam of energy released by the station.

After what seems like several seconds, the brightness of the beam fades, as the crew realizes that there have been horrific changes to their situation-the beam has hurtled the ship to the same point in space, but billions of years in the future. To make matters worse, nothing remains of the station but scattered debris, engines have been knocked offline, and the system's star, now a red giant, has expanded so far that deadly amounts of radiation are now bombarding the Perseus' already-weakened shields.

With no hope for assistance from Starfleet and the clock of their shield protection rapidly ticking down, the crew must scrambled to bring propulsion back online and find a way to return to their own time before the gamma radiation fries them all.

Objectives:

1. Reinforce shield strength to buy more time
2. Bring propulsion back online
3. Find a way to recreate the event that hurtled them to the future, or devise some other method of time travel
