Appearance: Eun tends to earn a few second looks from passerbys thanks to the combination of a face that most humans would consider stunningly beautiful, and her unusual cybernetic eyes. Her height is rather on the small side, as one would expect from as Asian woman, and her frame is slightly muscular, though certainly meeker than that of many Lagashi. Though she appears to weigh very little, Eun actually weighs much more than an average human woman her size due to numerous metallic reinforcements to her skeletal structure.

Personality: Eun is far more introverted than a typical Lagashi, preferring the quiet, logical world of mathematics and computations to a social life. Having reached forty without marrying, a situation extremely unusual for a Lagashi, she has taken a slightly more active interest in dating, but still tends to come off as awkward and overly internal to others.

History: Eun was born into what would be described as an atypical Lagashi family, with parents who had chosen to be monogamous rather than engaging in the polygamy common to her race. With such an unusual family, Eun was often seen as something of an outcast, constantly on the outside of social groups, which resulted in her becoming withdrawn and quiet as an adult.

At age 12 Eun contracted a disease while vacationing that caused a gradual degeneration of her skeleton that, while curable, was not detected for nearly a year. By this time her bones had become extremely weak, barely able to support hEd body while lying down, and Eun was forced to undergo emergency surgery to reinforce her entire skeletal structure. Although the operation was a success, Eun has since remained averse to physical activity, having developed an irrational fear of over-exerting herself and damaging her bones irreparably.

By the time she entered college Eun had become a fairly lonely individual, and initially had intended to pursue a career as a historian that would allow her to be withdrawn in her work, avoiding any contact with other Lagashi. However, due to a scheduling issue, she was unable to take any history courses in her first year, and was instead forced to take several biology and chemistry classes. It was during this year that sue developed an interest in the field of medical diagnostics, eventually switching majors to Pre-Med by her second year.

Eun graduated from medical school in 2366, specializing as a diagnostician and immediately taking a job on her homeworld of Lagash at a small clinic, working as a reclusive doctor for seven uneventful years. In 2373, however, her life took an unexpected turn with the outbreak of the Dominion War. With doctors in high demand for Starfleet service, Eun found herself temporarily joining the Marine Corps as a field medic.

Immediately commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, Eun was rushed into service and assigned to an infantry battalion, and saw combat in every disgusting, miserable, out of the way hole one could think of over the two years of the war. By the end of the conflict in 2375, Eun had advanced to the rank of Captain and gained unexpected experience in cardiovascular surgery, but still remained quiet and reclusive outside of work.

Though she could have simply returned to Lagash and her old job, Eun had come to enjoy working in Starfleet and instead entered the regular naval academy, graduating in 2378 and earning an immediate assignment to the USS Ticonderoga, serving as a medical diagnostician once more and eventually advancing to Assistant Chief Medical Officer. By 2386 her superiors had decided she was ready to advance even farther in her career, and she was reassigned to the USS Perseus as Chief Medical Officer and Second Officer, an unusual circumstance for a doctor in Starfleet.
